
Founded in 2019, Bruma Cine is a Colombian film production and distribution company. Focused on experimental narratives and auteur cinema, the company has produced two short films that have been screened and awarded both nationally and internationally. Parallel to production, Bruma Cine develops different distribution and programming projects; His catalog is composed by, for example, the main titles of the Colombian filmmaker Luis Ospina, as well as the curatorial projects Cartas de amor, Reconstrucciones and Creer en lo que no se ha revelado, all presented in the main alternative theaters of the country, such as the Bogotá Cinematheque, the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín -MAMM- and the Cinematheque of the Museum La Tertulia.
Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia, and in Social Communication and Journalism, from Universidad de La Sabana (Bogotá, Colombia). Between 2017 and 2018, he worked as Programming Assistant for the Cartagena International Film Festival -FICCI- and, from 2018 to 2020, he worked as Programming Coordinator at the Bogota International Film Festival -BIFF-. In 2019 he founded the production and distribution company BRUMA CINE, which manages the exhibition rights of the most emblematic titles of the Colombian filmmaker Luis Ospina and, at the same time, develops different programming projects. He has been curator of the film programs Creer en lo que no se ha revelado: Retrospectiva integral y obra inédita de Luis Ospina and Reconstrucciones: Adaptaciones libres en el cortometraje iberoamericano. LO ESPESO (2018), his first experimental short film, was shown at international film festivals in Brazil, Spain and Mexico, among other countries. LA NOCHE DESBARATA MIS SOMBRAS (2020), his most recent film, has been presented at festivals such as the 31st São Paulo International Short Film Festival -CURTA KINOFORUM- and the 42nd Havana Film Festival. It also received the award for best experimental short film at the 18 IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival, in Bulgaria.

Mateo Suárez Castiblanco
Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia from the Universidad de La Sabana (Bogotá, Colombia). In 2018 he joined Burning Blue where he worked as a production assistant on the film Cómprame un Revolver (Javier Hernández Cordón, Quinzaine des realisateurs, Cannes, 2018) and editorial assistant for the book Paisaje Cinematográfico Colombiano. That same year he worked as a production assistant in the development of the film Memoria (Apichatpong Weerasethakul) in which he later worked as a casting assistant and second assistant director. Among his personal works is the direction of photography, production and preparation of actors of the short film La Siembra (Esteban Cruz, Sundance Ignite Felloshwip, 2017). He is currently post-production coordinator in Memoria and producer at Bruma Cine.
